The mission of SPIRITUS is to inspire young Catholics to spread the Gospel and renew the Church! SPIRITUS parish-based ministry is based on the three-phase approach that is found in the gospels. Jesus encountered people, discipled them and commissioned them to go and make disciples and spread the Good News. SPIRITUS parish-based ministry is a blend of the dynamic SPIRITUS retreat ministry and on-going intentional discipling ministry in the parish setting for youth and young adults.
SPIRITUS helps youth and young adults encounter Jesus through retreats and spiritual programs. In the parish setting, SPIRITUS creates spiritual, social and service events for middle school and high school youth. These activities are designed to engage students in exciting and meaningful ways and inspire them to turn to Jesus and the teachings of His Church.
SPIRITUS offers discussion groups like Teen Disciples for high school students and INSPIRE for young adults to begin intentional discipling relationships. The goal of these relationships is to lead high school students and young adults into deeper holiness in their lives and a more active role in their faith.
In these discipling relationships, SPIRITUS teaches young Catholics how to disciple others and encourages them to live out Christ’s great commissioning to “Go, therefore, and make disciples” (Mt 28:19). These new disciples begin to disciple others and the Good News spreads in authentic, personal and powerful ways.
"Through your joyful witness and service, help to build a civilization of love."
